A brief break

I’m away all this week teaching at YWAM Panama on evangelism and preaching. These classes have students from around the world, and its a privelege to be there.

One thing that happened last week at our little Spanish church: during a time of prayer minsitry where people gather at the front and let the elderrs pray with them, one woman approached us and simply said, I need to receive Christ in my life.

The sermon wasn’t evangelistic, there was no altar call. What I saw was the outgrowth of the Holy Spirit bringing this woman to a place of faith and commencing her discipleship. Her heart knew that she needed to receive Christ and begin to follow Him.

I fully believe that we are called to share the good news with people, and this event last week reminds me that ultimately, God brings people to faith. Evangelism is both our responsibility and trust in God’s sovereignty.

Be in prayer for us as I’m away teaching this week.

Blessings.
