I’m continuing this week a series on Christian Hospitality.
The Bible has some examples of hospitality, both positive and negative. It is a good practice to review these on your own and glean your own insight into them.
Positive Examples of Biblical Hospitality
| Matthew 25:34-43 | Sheep and Goats |
| Luke 10:30-37 | Good Samaritan |
| Acts 4:32-38 | “had everything in common” |
| Romans 12:13 | “practice hospitality” |
| Romans 16:1-23 | Greetings and “who’s hospitality I enjoy” |
| 1 Timothy 5:10 | characteristic of a widow |
| Hebrews 13:2 | “angels unaware” |
| 1 Peter 4:7-11 | “Offer Hospitality without grumbling” |
| 3 John 1:5-8 | “We ought to show hospitality” |
Do you have a favorite hospitality scripture or verse to add to this list?

Thanks for teaching on hospitality. It’s one of the more neglected arts in the church. As a person who has moved a great deal, I cherish anyone who takes time out of their busy life to let me in. I’ve written on my website of a woman who decided to greet every new couple in their small community. After a few years she had greeted one thousand and brought many to a Bible study.
