Our church is less than 10 years old and in the 100-200 group, approaching 200. Hospitality is generally great, but we look to formalize the hospitality aspect, increasing it’s depth and scope and begin involving an additional number of people.

  2. Steve says:

I would like for all greeters/ushers to be on the same page or have the same mindset. Having a plan for visitors and knowing where to direct them. We are just starting to develop a training program to do this.

  3. JoAnn says:

What I totally despise about first time visiting a church is having my name called out and every eye in the congregation on me. I don’t fill out the visitor’s packet for that reason. I think having a choice as to whether you want to be recognized or not should be on the visitor card, maybe some like “I don’t want to be recognized publicly this time; please send me some information in the mail or via email.”
