This is a real confusing church sign.
If you are thinking about adding church signage as part of your church outreach, be a little bit more careful with how your church sign reads.
You do not want to confuse your visitor.
This sign I found confused me. If I am a guest, am I allowed to park here when I make my visit?
I’m not sure what to do with the language on this church sign.
I’ve removed the church name because I don’t want to call them out publicly.
However, I’ve discussed this sign with many of my peers who are familiar with the church.
The church is located in a town that draws a lot of tourism to knick-knack shops, antique shops, etc that line two streets a little more than a city block away.
My friends think that the church is offering the use of their lot for tourists to use throughout the week, but asking tourists to not use it on Sunday morning The church wants to make sure that people attending on Sunday get to use it.
That is plausible, but it leaves your visitor guessing and possibly guessing wrong.
Maybe one could rephrase this confusing church sign.
How might you help reword this confusing church sign to accomplish what my friends think?
