My seminary professor gives a great example of hearing spiritual thirst and a great response.
How would you be tempted to respond if you were there?
With apologetics? Theology? Or with something else?
The doctor heard the spiritual thirst and responded with a personal story.
That is a great approach to personal evangelism.
Spiritual Thirst is the starting point.
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” (John 7:37b)
Jesus plainly taught that if anyone wants a relationship with God, it can be obtained.
Spiritual thirst is the starting point of a person’s quest to seek God.
That thirst is the restlessness of the human heart that drives one to Jesus.
When you learn to recognize and identify this thirst in the human heart, you will find the open door to more effective gospel sharing conversations.
Ive been teaching a class for about four years now and am really struggling.I know the word but getting it across seems to be the problem.I wonder if Im too outspoken.Im a very bold speaker and am trying to find a way to get through to different kinds of people. Ive been told its my delivery that somtimes turns people away.Yet others seem to love my boldness.Id greatly appreciate any help.
