Why Pray for the Lost?
Prayer is one of the most effective tools in evangelism. It prepares both you and the person you’re praying for.
When we pray for our unsaved friends, we begin to notice:
- Divine appointments and unexpected conversations.
- A softened heart toward people who need grace.
- Opportunities that God places right in front of us.
In Acts 8, the Spirit told Philip to “Go, stand next to that chariot.” Philip’s obedience came from listening — prayer keeps us in that same posture of readiness to notice who God highlights in our path.
Coaching Reflection: How Can You Pray More Effectively?
Let me ask you this:
- Who are three people in your life who do not yet follow Christ?
- What would change if you began praying through these ten points for each one?
- How might God change your own heart toward evangelism as you intercede for them?
Write down their names. Pray for one person each day this week using these evangelism prayer points with scriptures. Notice how God brings moments, conversations, and opportunities to life.
