What are some tangible signs of spiritual thirst?
Spiritual thirst is the evidence of God the Father drawing a person to Jesus.
It is the work of the Holy Spirit and the core habit of personal evangelism I teach about in the “Effective Conversations DVD.”
But what does spiritual thirst look like? What are those signs of spiritual thirst that will help you to see how the Father draws a person to Jesus?
I see tangible signs of spiritual thirst from the story of Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch.

Just this week, I met a church member who felt that evangelism was not doable because he felt he had
My seminary professor gives a great example of hearing spiritual thirst and a great response.
How would you be tempted to respond if you were there?
With apologetics? Theology? Or with something else?
The doctor heard the spiritual thirst and responded with a personal story.
That is a great approach to personal evangelism.
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” (John 7:37b)
Jesus plainly taught that if anyone wants a relationship with God, it can be obtained.
Spiritual thirst is the starting point of a person’s quest to seek God.
That thirst is the restlessness of the human heart that drives one to Jesus.
When you learn to recognize and identify this thirst in the human heart, you will find the open door to more effective gospel sharing conversations.
